By accessing or using MedBudget at medbudgetapp.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
MedBudget is a financial planning web application designed for medical students and residents. It provides tools for budgeting, loan repayment planning, goal tracking, and financial wellness monitoring.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use MedBudget. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account Registration
You may sign in using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
5. Subscription and Payments
- MedBudget offers a free tier for medical students and a paid subscription for residents at $7.00 per month
- Paid subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- We do not offer refunds for partial months
Trial Terms
MedBudget offers a 7-day free trial for new resident subscribers. After the trial period ends, your payment method will automatically be charged $7.00 per month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends through your account settings at no charge. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial month refunds are issued after billing begins.
6. Disclaimer of Financial Advice
MedBudget provides financial planning tools for informational and organizational purposes only. Nothing in the app constitutes professional financial, legal, or tax advice. You should consult a qualified financial advisor for personalized advice.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of MedBudget — including the MedBudget name, logo, and mascot "Buddy" — are the exclusive property of MedBudget and its creator. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
8. User Data
You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into MedBudget. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
9. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Use the app to transmit harmful or malicious content
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms of Service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedBudget shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
